Agency Narrative
The Property Tax Appeal Board (PTAB) has increased productivity as a result of the new online filing portal implementation in 2022, and additional administrative law judge staff being hired in the past two fiscal years. PTAB closed 37,733 cases in fiscal year 2023 and 45,445 cases in fiscal year 2024. PTAB is on track to close approximately 47,000 cases in fiscal year 2025. Improved productivity should continue through fiscal year 2025 and into fiscal year 2026 and beyond.
