2024 Broadband
Mission Statement To expand broadband access across the State of Illinois through administration of the Connect Illinois broadband grant program, included as a capital investment through Rebuild Illinois; related grants and programming promoting digital equity, planning and capacity building; and leading the Governor’s Broadband Advisory Council.
Program Goals and Objectives
  1. Provide short-term basic internet access
    1. Ensure long-term high-speed access
      1. Demonstrate broadband leadership
        1. Reduce or eliminate the digital divide
          1. Support innovative use, such as for economic development, distance learning telehealth, remote work, advanced manufacturing and precision agriculture.
