2024 Leave Rights
Mission Statement To promote and protect the rights and health of employees, by allowing them to take leave under specified circumstances. This is done through the enforcement of the Paid Leave for All Workers Act, Employee Sick Leave Act, and Family Bereavement Leave Act.
Program Goals and Objectives
  1. Protect the rights of employees to take a minimum of five paid leave days in a year under the Paid Leave for All Workers Act.
    1. Conduct fact-based investigations in response to complaints
    2. Negotiate settlements to resolve complaints
    3. Collect penalties for violations of the Act
  2. Protect the rights of employees to take leave afforded under the Employee Sick Leave Act.
    1. Conciliate with parties to resolve complaints.
  3. Protect the rights of employees to take leave under the Family Bereavement Leave Act.
    1. Conduct fact-based investigations in response to complaints
    2. Negotiate settlements to resolve complaints
    3. Collect penalties for violations of the Act
