With the passing of the SAFE-T Act the State of Illinois Law Enforcement has become better trained and prepared for the future of local law enforcement. The Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board plays a crucial role in making sure that the SAFE-T Act has been implemented to the best of their ability. The only true challenge facing ILETSB are the lack of state employees that need to be added to the agency in order to continue the advancement of the SAFE-T Act and with a fiscal year 2025 projected headcount of over 65 employees, the agency is well on the way to achieving all missions.
