Agency Narrative
The Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) recently unveiled a new strategic plan covering 2023 - 2027. This strategic plan encompasses the vision to reimagine Illinois government through innovation, with a mission to improve access to government services by leveraging modern technology.
This plan includes six goals:
- Improve residents’ experience by delivering user-centric, digital solutions.
- Drive innovation and leverage modern technology to streamline government.
- Protect and secure systems and data while reducing risk.
- Partner with agencies to increase the value delivered to residents.
- Enable data-informed decision-making.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration to develop a high-performing workforce.
As DoIT begins to implement this strategic plan, future submissions for the Public Accountability Report may include new metrics to better align with these new goals.
