Agency Narrative
Like other public regional universities across the country, Northeastern Illinois University has seen positive outcomes and opportunities for improvement. Our fiscal year 2025 six-year graduation rate increased from 16.8% to 21.6%, while retention decreased from 61.0% to 52.3%. Our enrollment management team has developed specific tactics, such as holistic advising informed by data, to address student success needs. Our fiscal year 2026 retention rate increased by eight percentage points, with a goal of a 2% increase each year. These tactics will also help improve our six-year graduation rates.
