2025 Anti-Terrorism Planning and Response
Mission Statement The Illinois Terrorism Task Force (ITTF) serves as the state homeland security strategic planning and policy body for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant programs. The task force represents more than 60 agencies, including federal, state, local, private sector, and non-governmental organizations—all collaborating to achieve and sustain risk-based target levels of capability to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism and to minimize the impact on lives, property, and the economy.
Program Goals and Objectives
  1. Develop a strategy for competitive grants to assist local emergency response agencies in complying with homeland security laws, policies, protocol, and procedures.
